So this is Christmas and what...

Critter Lover from Canada:
I had one of those moments yesterday — something that made me smile from the inside out — well, a couple of them, actually. There was a 60ish man rummaging through a garbage can on a busy street last night, looking for something to eat. He found a discarded box of chicken and hungrily picked away at the bones. Someone I know stopped and dug out a twenty dollar bill and put it in his hand. “Merry Christmas,” said he. “Go get yourself some chicken.”
Girl from the UK, an US woman looking for a job in the UK, who is used to writing about everything in detail:
I didn't get the job. Enough said.
atrueheart from Texas:
Mistletoe! It grows naturally all over the trees where my parents live. I've always enjoyed the tradition of a kiss under the mistletoe. Kind of exciting don't ya think? Will he? Won't he? And sometimes someone catches you totally by surprise! Do y'all have a memorable mistletoe kiss? Me, it's been so long since I've had a mistletoe kiss I can't remember the last one!
I guess, we all are looking for some kind of hope. Not tons of gifts but hope is what Christmas really is about.
